Masaharu Morimoto's first signature restaurant right on the Riverfront. The sushi is amazing, but the daily "bento box style" lunch special is possibly the greatest culinary bargain in the country!

Seriously excellent menu, food and service. We did a chef's tasting menu, and every course was top notch. Seared scallops were probably the best, but the sushi was melt in your mouth fresh.

You have to try the ishi yaki buri bop and the mori monkey bread. Everything was phenomenal, and every aspect of the service was buttoned up. My favorite restaurant in Napa.

Absolutely wonderful experience of an incredible detail oriented meticulous Iron Chef Japanese cuisine. Wonderful meal, interactive presentations, speedy 1 on 1 with smart sake somalier. Must visit!

  • Robert B. heart icon on user image

Good sushi. Fresh and great presentation. Rolls are 6 small pieces for a large rice. Ambience is awesome. Be careful when ordering sake as my first ordered sake and there were 12 shots in the bottle.

  • David S.

Go with the Omakase (chefs tasting) it's not a lot of food and blew us away. If they have amber jacks you are in for a treat! Worse case def get the toro hamachi

  • Vennesa Y. heart icon on user image

Went in at around 11:30pm for a late dinner. Their "late night" menu is less extensive but it covers all the basics. The chef's selection of sushi (and a maki) was excellent. Chef and staff were nice.

  • Elaine C.

Great service. If you sit outside while the sun is out, watch out your raw fish may get cooked, best to keep in the shade. Uni carbonara was great. Tuna tartare was a visual treat

My favorite management and staff of all the restaurants in downtown Napa. Consistent quality and great service. Tell the managers Filipo and Eduardo Chris and Scott sent you.

Free parking across the street in a multi level parking garage for the public.

  • Superb

The savory Bone Marrow is a great way to start a night at Morimoto, where the chef shows his uncanny ability to create modern delights out of rustic, traditional dishes.

The food was awesome try the Angry Chicken, slightly spicy, watch out for the hot peppers. Very delicious overall. Very authentic and very fresh sushi.

spicy king crab and braised cod is so good, i would be go back just for them! plus, i will try bone marrow and roasted lobster next time! 5 star experience.

  • Maya S. heart icon on user image

Go for the lunch set: I'm partial to the black cod and the Uni carbonara (opt for the miso w/ housemade tofu instead of salad) + nigiri.

  • Sabina B. heart icon on user image

Everything here is obviously divine. Be sure to compliment your meal with the Chopstick Home Brew, Hamachi Tacos, and Wasabi Monkey Bread!

  • John M. heart icon on user image

OMG the pork chop is to die for! Not what I went in for but it was recommended by our hotel and he was right! Great food and service!

  • Jay C.

Yummy! Not really a seafood guy but everything looked great! Plenty of awesome non sushi options.the porkchop! N so much more.the presentation was flawless.

  • Kelly M.

It's usually pretty packed in the restaurant side of things. Sit up front and you won't have to wait. Sea Urchin Carbonara is wicked good for dinner.

  • Amortya R.

The braised cod was amazing! So tender! We also got the garam masala lobster and the braised octopus appetizer. Great food as expected. Noisy place.

  • Henry P.

Good variety of Japanese food with a mix of traditional and chef inspired options. Very Morimoto ;) with crunch, heat, flavor and raw fish.

  • Boogie B.

Pork dumplings and seasoned bone marrow appetizers are a must try! White lily cocktail is a creeper.

  • Nils N. heart icon on user image

Beautiful casual California Japanese restaurant. The sharing plates are huge. Sushi though is not up to par if you are from Asia.

  • Mark H.

This place was the bomb. Much better than I ever expected. Every course was excellent. Not a celeb chef gimmick this place is for foodies.

  • Frank K. heart icon on user image

Outstanding tasting menu, couldn't believe the pop-rocks in the dessert!

  • Daron G. heart icon on user image

Amazing Japanese cuisine! The Tuna Pizza is the best.

  • Barry S.

The braised octopus appetizer is an absolute grand slam - even if octopus makes you a bit nervous, give it a try - absolutely sublime.

  • Dave D. heart icon on user image

Combine both Omakase options together and enjoy the best meal of your life. ++wine pairing to further perfect

  • Fabio C.

From classic Japanese food to Asian fusion and excellent service. Had the ishi yaki buri bop entrée is just AMAZING!

I already can't wait to go back!! Must try the Sushi Tacos!! Wow!! Morimoto martini very nice.

  • Cornelia H. heart icon on user image

Blistered shishito peppers are delicious. Soft shell crab roll is a little hard to eat but tasty.

  • Kim F.

Try the Uni Cabonara Lunch Set - With veggie tempura & sushi of the day (spicy tuna maki, sake & hamachi)

  • Visit Napa Valley

During Napa Valley Restaurant Month in January you can enjoy a 2 course lunch for $20.00. Make sure to ask about the Restaurant Month Special!

  • Jessica C.

Cocktails and dessert were the stars. The green tea drink and bloody mary were superb. Smores dessert is to die for

  • Tony B.

Amazing place - great energy, amazing food and friendly staff. Try a bunch of plates - everything is amazing!!

  • Jason C. heart icon on user image

The restaurant is crazy loud and the tables for two are very long, so you end up having to yell for your companion to hear you. The prix fixe (omakase) made dinner 3 hours long and some were just ok.

  • Andy heart icon on user image

The beef carpaccio and the lobster won ton soup are two great places to begin your dining adventure

  • Ashique A. heart icon on user image

Spicy king crab and duck duck goose is to die for.

  • Sarah

The Sea Urchin Carbonara is an absolute must-have. Even my non-seafood-eater boyfriend could not get enough of it!

  • Shawn S. heart icon on user image

Try the coconut confections! Everyone misses the Confectionery at the entrance! DON'T YOU MISS IT!

  • Keith M. heart icon on user image

Scenic waterside tables add to the atmosphere while eating some delicious sushi.

  • JoAnne K.

Try the Black Tobiko W/ Quail Egg And Super White Tuna, Sea Bass And Fatty Hamachi Sushi - Live

  • Lani M. heart icon on user image

Sticky ribs were great. I would not order the tuna pizza again.

  • Scott S. heart icon on user image

The omikase was an onslaught of deliciousness. A nice range of dishes.

  • Ryan H. heart icon on user image

Don't play it safe, get something unique. Inventive takes on classics as well as some adventurous options -- loved it.

  • Dekonti

Best uni! Roasted crab legs, sea urchin carbonara, hamachi collar, ramen & s'mores!

  • Vicki T. heart icon on user image

You can get the Omakase during lunch and dinner. $100/$120 per person.

  • Alexandria D. heart icon on user image

If you want sushi ROLLS Eikos around the block is better and priced better but if your looking for a large steak or fish dish I guess this would be your place. I don't think it's worth the hype.

  • Chris W. heart icon on user image

Beautiful restaurant, eat at the bar or the chic lounge. Had wonderful sake!

  • Rika P.

Dont miss the Foie Gras takoyaki or the Sea Urchin Carbonara. End all up with their tofu cheesecake:)
